Registration

A1.

Early bird discount of 5% is open to all who register between 14 September 2023, 16:00 to 22 September 2023, 16:00. Standard Chartered cardholders (credit and debit card) enjoy 10% off after verification during early bird period.
Note that early bird registration has a limited quota. The discount will no longer be available once all slots are taken up. For Standard Chartered Credit Card application details, please visit the Standard Chartered Bank website on https://www.sc.com/tw/.

A2.

2023 SCTM registrants enjoy 10% discount off throughout the registration period (i.e. 14 September 2023, 16:00 to 29 November 2023, 16:00) when they register using the same ID. The discount will automatically apply after verification via the registration website.

A3.

Visually impaired (VI) runners can register for any race category, and are required to find their own running buddies. Note that there will not be any specific training camp for VI running buddies.

To register as VI runners, please contact the Chinese Taipei Road Running Association (CTRRA) at 02-25855659 ext 9. You need to provide a registration form, registration fee (refundable after the event), information of your running buddy, and a copy of VI certificate. For more details , please refer to the "Registration for the Visually Impaired (VI) Runners" section on http://scbmarathon2024.com/rules-and-regulations.html

A4.

If you need to modify your address, please contact the Chinese Taipei Road Running Association (CTRRA) at 02-25855659 ext 9, before 12 January 2024. This is to avoid any issues with the delivery of your race pack. Requests beyond this date will not be accepted.

A5.

Once a group registration has been submitted, new members cannot be added to the same registration. If you would to add new members, please complete a new registration.

A6.

Group registration allows 2 or more people to register as a group. Race packs will also be delivered together.

A7.

If your passport is due to expire during the race period, you can choose to register with your old passport and then send both the old and new passport copies to the Chinese Taipei Road Running Association (CTRRA) at service@sportsnet.org.tw. If you have any other questions, please call the CTRRA at 02-25855659.

A8.

After completing your registration, a payment confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provided. It is recommended to check your spam or junk folder as well. If you still haven't received the email, please check your registration status via this page: https://www.sportsnet.org.tw/order_status_check/order_status_check_form.php Any questions please feel free to contact the Chinese Taipei Road Running Association (CTRRA) at 02-25855659, and a dedicated representative will assist you.

A9.

The Standard Chartered Taipei Charity Marathon is an international race certified by AIMS/WA . However, it has not yet been included in the Chinese Taipei Athletics Association's performance certification.

A10.

There is no waitlist once all registration slots are taken up. If you still wish to register, you will need to wait for participants in that category to cancel their registration. Please check online periodically as the timing of such cancellations is uncertain. Should the quota becomes available, do complete the registration by 29 November 2023 at 16:00.

A11.

If you need to switch your race category after registration, you cannot directly make this change in the system since different categories have different fees. If you have already paid and wish to switch to a different category, you must first apply for a refund for the original category. After the refund is processed (takes about 1-2 working days), you will then be able to register for the new category. If you haven't made a payment yet and wish to switch to a different category that still has available quota, you can make this change by visiting the Chinese Taipei Road Running Association (CTRRA)'s official website. For more details, please refer to the refund application procedure under the "Registration" section on http://scbmarathon2024.com/rules-and-regulations or call the CTRRA at 02-25855659.

A13.

Payment can be made via the following methods:
Credit Card:
MASTER, VISA, JCB. Please do not click confirmation button repeatedly. Contact your local card company if you have any queries regarding payment Organiser and note that all administrative fees should be charged to the registrant.
Payment at Convenience Store:
Please note that the maximum allowance per transaction is TWD 20,000. TWD 18 handling fee will be charged for each transaction. Please complete the payment before 14:00 the next day once registered and keep your receipt properly. Failing to make the payment in the required period of time will result in unsuccessful registration. You may like to register again if the race slots are still available.

A14.

As part of our journey towards a net zero future, registrants for the Full Marathon, Half Marathon and 13KM category will be issued a reusable timing chip. A TWD 100 deposit fee will be collected during registration, and will be refunded when you return the timing chip at the event venue on race day. If the chip cannot be returned on the event day, please return it during 26-27 February 2024 and 29 February-1 March 2024 (08:30 - 12:00; 13:30 - 17:30) at the CTRRA office. No refund will be processed after the deadline.

Race pack

A1.

During registration, runners can choose to have their race pack delivered to their address, or collect it in person. Race pack delivery (courier): From 23 January to 20 February 2024. Race pack collection (in-person): From 22 to 24 February 2024, 10:00 to 17:00 (daily) at Taipei City Hall North Plaza.

A2.

Delivery service is only available in Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu. Overseas participants can arrange for race pack to be delivered to the homes of friends, relatives, or accommodation providers in Taiwan. Please make sure to inquire in advance if there will be someone available during the day to receive the package. If yes, please indicate their name and phone number in the comments section following the address provided during registration. Please also note the following points:

  • If you need to modify your delivery address, please contact the Chinese Taipei Road Running Association (CTRRA) (email:  service@sportsnet.org.tw ) by 12 January 2024. Request beyond this date will not be accepted.
  • Race packs will be dispatched from 23 January to 20 February 2024 to the mailing address provided during registration. Please make sure to fill in the correct address. Full marathon, half marathon,13KM category: Runner's bib, timing chip, race shirt and map; 3KM fun run category: Runner's bib, race shirt and map.
  • If you have yet to receive your race pack by 20 February 2024, please contact the CTRRA at 02-25855659 during office hours (08:30-12:00; 13:30-17:30).
  • You can also collect the race pack in person from 22 to 24 February 2024, 10:00 to 17:00 (daily) at Taipei City Hall North Plaza.
  • Runners without their runner's bib will not be allowed to enter the racetrack.
  • Your race pack will not be re-sent if the delivery failure is due to invalid / incomplete address provided, or no one is present to physically received the package. You may only retrieve your race pack after the race on 26-27 February 2024 and 29 February-1 March 2024 during office hours (08:30-12:00;13:30-17:30) at the CTRRA office. Uncollected race packs will be forfeited.

A3.

Choosing the style of the race shirt is not allowed. Full marathon and half marathon participants will receive a race singlet, while 13KM and 3KM participants will receive a race T-shirt.

A4.

If you would like to change the size of the race shirt, please contact the Chinese Taipei Road Running Association (CTRRA) (email: service@sportsnet.org.tw) before 29 November 2023. Request beyond this date will not be accepted.

Event day

A1.

The Standard Chartered Taipei Charity Marathon does not have partnerships with accomodation providers. Feel free to explore suitable accomodation options on the Taipei Travel official website: https://www.travel.taipei/en

A2.

Public transportation will operate according to its regular schedule and will not be adjusted for the Standard Chartered Taipei Charity Marathon. If you have registered for full marathon, half marathon or 13KM category, it is recommended to take a taxi to the Presidential Office Plaza (meeting point). If you have registered for the 3KM category, you can take the metro to Yuan Shan Station (Exit 1) and transfer to the event shuttle bus to Dajia Riverside Park (meeting point). For more details, please refer to the "Race Day Shuttle Buses" section on http://scbmarathon2024.com/rules-and-regulations
