From 2019, we have launched Futuremakers by Standard Chartered programmes in Taiwan to support disadvantaged young people, especially girls and visually impaired youth, to learn new skills and improve their chances of getting a job or starting their own business. Between 2020 and 2025 Q3, partnered with The Garden of Hope Foundation and Taipei Parents' Association for the Visually Impaired, we have supported nearly 8,500 disadvantaged youth to learn, earn and grow. From 2023, Women in Entrepreneurship (WiE) has supported nearly 90 women-led microbusinesses, held over 60 professional workshops, provided over 200 hours mentorship and invested over TWD 5 million as prize awards.

Our global initiative to tackle inequality and promote greater economic inclusion for disadvantaged young people in local communities. Through fundraising events, Standard Chartered Foundation, the Marathon race and together with the runners, we have successfully raised over TWD133 million since 2013. From 2020, we have invited runners to fundraise and the public to donate towards Futuremakers by Standard Chartered during race season. In 2026, Futuremakers by Standard Chartered is renamed as Standard Chartered Charity Programmes.

Its programmes focus on employability and entrepreneurship, helping young entrepreneurs and jobseekers access the skills, networks, opportunities and support they need to achieve economic power and participation.
