Registration

Please log on to CTRRA official website www.sportsnet.org.tw for online registration, agree to the contents in the participation statement (guarantee to abide by the rules and regulations governing this event, ensure the physical and mental health of yourself and/or the team members, understand the risks associated with the marathon, and voluntarily participate in the race registration. If there are any accidents that occur during the race, you and/or the team and the family members are willing to bear the responsibility for personal accident risks, and agree that the Organiser will not be held responsible or liable for any form of compensation claim for any injury, death or any other form of loss) and abide by all rules and regulations before registering. If you are under the age of 18, your legal guardian should read, understand and agree to all the contents of this statement before registering. Once you have registered, it will be deemed that both you and your legal guardian have read the complete entry statement and agree to comply with all event rules and regulations.

Payment can be made via the following methods:

  • Credit Card: MASTER, VISA, and JCB cards are accepted. Please avoid clicking the confirmation button repeatedly. Contact your credit card issuer if you have any queries regarding payment authorisation.
  • Payment at Convenience Store: Note that the maximum amount allowed per transaction is TWD 20,000. A TWD 18 handling fee will be charged for each transaction. Please complete the payment before 14:00 the next day once registered and keep your receipt properly. Failure to make the payment in the required time period will result in an unsuccessful registration. You may register again if race slots are still available.
  • Please assess your condition and performance before registering for the race. Once the registration process is completed, you are not allowed to replace or substitute your registration with another person. If you wish to switch to a different race category (only if the race category is available) before the payment is made, please revise it under the page ‘Registration Inquiry/Modification’. If the payment has been made, you must first apply for a cancellation and refund before resubmitting a new registration. For change of race shirt sizes, please contact the Organiser before 31 October 2024. Late request will not be accepted.
  • Those who have not registered are not allowed to enter the course and participate in the race.
  • Once payment has been made, the online payment system will automatically send you a confirmation email. If you do not receive the email notice, you may use the query function on CTRRA website to confirm your registration.

    Refund Procedure:Please fill in the Refund Application Form and send an email it to CTRRA with supporting documents (if required). Once application has been received, CTRRA will review and process in due course. Note that late applications will not be accepted, and no refund will be processed.

    • Please keep the entire race pack intact and return it to the Organiser. Refunds will not be accepted if there is any damage or loss of the contents. Courier fee is not included in the refund if you have opted for race pack delivery.

  • Registration for the Visually Impaired (VI) Runners:
    1. Please contact CTRRA office at 02-25855659 EXT#9 for more information. Registration form, registration fee (refunded upon finishing the race), personal information of the guide runner and a copy of visually impaired certificate must be provided.
    2. Number of Guide Runners for VI Runners: In accordance with the rules and regulations of the International Paralympic Committee, marathon VI runners are entitled to have 1 to 4 guide runners. Half marathon VI runners are entitled to have 1 to 2 guide runners. Only one guide runner is allowed to accompany the VI runner at any given time. Guide runners are only allowed to alternate at 10km/20km/30km mark based on what is specified on the registration form. For 11 KM and 3 KM races, VI runners are allowed only 1 guide runner.
    3. Marathon and half marathon VI runners with one or more guide runners are required to report to the judges at the designated time and locations (10km, 20km and 30km) to proceed with the replacement. Failing to do so will result in disqualification for both VI runner and the guide runner.
    4. Guide runners will receive a runner’s bib and race shirt upon check-in. Race results for the guide runners will be recorded the same as their VI runners. If the guide runner’s name does not match the name provided during registration, the VI runner’s race result will be disqualified nor be recorded. VI runners who have completed the race category within the required time will receive a full refund of the registration fee. To claim your refund, please provide your ID and bib at the Information Booth located at Dajia Riverside Park on the race day (11 January 2026, 9:30 to 11:30). Latecomers will not be accepted.
  • The registration deadline is 30 October 2025 or once all slots are taken up. Further applications will not be accepted. CTRRA will not be responsible for any overdue online registration. (CTRRA office: 02-25855659 / Fax: 02-25996716)
  • All runners’ information will be based on the information and government-issued ID provided at the time of registration. For ROC citizens – National Identification Card or passport number. For Non-ROC citizens - passport or ARC number.

  • A race pack collection notice with a receipt number will be sent to you by email from CTRRA one week beforehand. Please bring along the collection notice and your government-issued photo ID during collection.
  • Participants must present valid identification and sign a copy of the receipt form at check-in when collecting the race pack. If the participant is unable to collect the race pack in person, a representative may collect it on their behalf. The representative must present either the original, a photocopy, or an electronic image (on a mobile device) of the participant's valid ID (limited to National ID, health insurance card, driver's license, or passport) for verification. The Organiser will not be held responsible for any loss resulting from unauthorized collection. The representative must also sign and provide their own contact number.
  • If you do not receive an email notice from CTRRA, the receipt number can also be retrieved on the CTRRA website by searching at the Registration Inquiry section. Or you can approach the crew on-site and provide your ID number to retrieve your receipt number.
  • If you have signed up for multiple runners in the same registration form, please ensure all their race packs are collected at one go.
  • If you fail to collect your race pack in time, you will not be able to participate in the race without a bib and a timing chip. However, you may still collect your race pack at CTRRA (Room 206, 2/F, No.55, Changji St., Datong District, Taipei City) within a week after the race day from 12-16 January 2026 (08:30AM – 12:00PM; 13:30PM – 17:30PM). Uncollected race packs will be forfeited.

  • If you need to change/update your delivery address, please contact CTRRA at 02-25855659 before 20 December 2025. Requests beyond this date will not be accepted.
  • Race packs (marathon, half marathon and 11 KM runners will receive a runner’s bib, timing chip, race shirt and a map; 3 KM runners will receive a runner’s bib, race shirt and map) will be dispatched starting from 26 December 2025 to the mailing address provided during registration. Please pay attention to fill in the correct address.
  • If you have yet to receive your race pack by 6 January 2026 (Tuesday), please contact CTRRA at 02-25855659 during office hours (08:30-12:00; 13:30-17:30).
  • Your race pack will not be re-sent if delivery fails due to an invalid or incomplete address or if no one is available to receive the package. You may collect your race pack after the race from 12-16 January 2026 during office hours (08:30-12:00; 13:30-17:30) at CTRRA. Uncollected race packs will be forfeited.
  • Postal fees must be paid upfront at registration:

Timing Chip

  • The "2026 Standard Chartered Taipei Charity Marathon" provides chip timing services for all participants. Please carefully read the chip usage instructions in the event guidebook before the race, or follow the guidance of on-site staff. All official results will be based on the results published on the official race website.
  • The chip is attached to the back of the bib. Do not fold or damage it. If the chip is damaged and fails to record your result, no replacement will be provided.
  • According to World Athletics Technical Rule 19.24.5, the official start time is the gun time. The organiser will calculate race times starting from the gun, and rankings will be determined based on this official time.
  • It is strictly prohibited to exchange chips, wear someone else's chip, or wear more than one chip. Violators will be disqualified, and their results will not be recorded.
  • The chip is the basis for timing. Please ensure you pass through all timing checkpoints. The organiser is not responsible for unrecorded results due to failure to use or activate the chip correctly.
  • Participants should assess their own ability and avoid pushing or rushing. Show sportsmanship and allow faster runners to start first.
  • Participants must start on time. Those who start more than 15 minutes after the official start may be prohibited from starting and will not have their results recorded.

Violations

  • Anyone who violates any of the following regulations will be disqualified from the race:
    1. Illegally receiving drink or food from another party (you may only receive drink or food provided by the Organiser).
    2. Not wearing the runner’s bib and timing chip at the event.
    3. Not having a chip time recorded at the starting mat, finishing mat or other chip time-checking points.
    4. Not complying with the race official's instructions.
    5. Using bicycles, baby strollers, in-line skates, skateboards, scooters etc. on the race route.
    6. Bringing a pet (dog or cat) on the race route.
    7. Taking photos along the race route to affect other runners.
  • Anyone who violates the following regulations will be disqualified from the race, and banned from participating in the activities organised by CTRRA for one year. Their names will be announced on the CTRRA’s website:
    1. Receiving assistance from another person or party during the event (rides, support etc.)
    2. Using false ID information during registration.
    3. Violating sportsmanship and ethics (fighting, abusing officials and staff etc.)
    4. Having a substitute or non-registered runner to run on your behalf during the race; wearing two or more chips.
    5. Remake/duplicate runner’s bib number.

Disputes

  • Race disputes: During the event, runners are not allowed to question the referee and officials on the spot. The referee’s decision shall prevail, and no appeal shall be lodged.
  • Appeal procedure: Any dispute concerning the event should be raised to the Organiser within ten minutes after finishing the race and at the same time a deposit of TWD3,000 must be submitted. If judges of the review committee concludes that the dispute is not justified, the deposit shall be confiscated.

Notice(Please Read Carefully)

  • Bag Storage:
    Please note that the start and finish points are at different locations. To transport your bags effectively to the finishing area, please follow the stipulated time periods and locations listed below.
    1. For storage, runners must use the red colored storage bag
      (please see picture shown below):
      provided by CTRRA or bags with the same specification (63cm length x 24cm width x 39cm height +/- 5cm), full zipper type to ensure the items are secured, and a transparent pocket to insert the bag storage card (specification: 23cm length x 15cm width +/- 3cm).
    2. Each runner’s bib comes with a detachable slip for bag storage. Please remove and insert it into the clear pocket on the outside of the bag. You must show the runner’s bib to the event crew, and get stamped when checking-in and picking up the bag. Please do not store any electronic / fragile items, valuable goods, fresh food, long-handled umbrella and dangerous good.
    3. You may purchase the storage bag (water resistant) for TWD 250 on the race day. The CTRRA storage bag can be used repeatedly at any of CTRRA events. (Please keep your valuables with you at all times; the Organiser will not be responsible for any loss).
    4. • To avoid delaying your start time, please check your bags as early as possible. The maximum compensation for the loss of the storage bag is TWD 1,000.

  • Safety First. The judges or doctors have the right to stop any runners from continuing the race due to their physical conditions.
  • Please bring your ID with you to the race event.
  • If a runner is caught using another runner’s bib to run the race, both runners will be disqualified from the race and banned from CTRRA events for a period of one year. The identities of violators will also be publicly announced on related websites.
  • When picking up your race pack, please ensure you have the correct bib number and timing chip. No replacement for the timing chip will be made after collection.
  • In order to encourage runners to finish the race within designated time, finisher’s medal, towel, and finisher’s gifts will be handed out at the finish line and nearby area. Medals and towels will not be provided to those who did not finish the race within designated time.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to publish or broadcast any video, photographs or other types of materials recorded at this event for the purpose of reporting and promoting its activities.
  • The organiser has exclusively authorized various co-organisers or sponsors for commercial activities related to the event. Without authorization from the organiser, it is prohibited to engage in any commercial activities related to this event, including but not limited to capturing and selling images of participating athletes, or selling merchandise.
  • Individuals without the organiser-issued work credentials are prohibited from capturing audiovisual recordings or photographs of participating athletes during this event for the purpose of sale or engaging in any commercial activities.
  • All firearms, weapons, and explosives are prohibited from entering the venue.
  • Please be sure to follow the traffic official and referee’s instructions along the race routes at all turns and intersections throughout the race.
  • Those who do not finish within the designated time will be picked up by sweeper buses.
  • To maintain the quality of the race event and protect the rights for all runners, you are not allowed to enter the race route or to be provided refreshments at supply stations wit hout wearing the runner’s bib
  • Those transferring or substitute runners should be responsible for their own liability; insurance claims will not be applicable if any accident occurs.
  • For the loss of property or physical injury caused by the participants during the race, the Organiser will assist in handling public liability insurance claims. In the event whereby the runner has already been compensated or has not been compensated due to reasons that are not covered, he/she should not ask for any other form of compensation from the Organiser.
  • The current regulations pertaining to road running events do not require the mandatory provision of a “performance guarantee” mechanism such as trust account management, financial institution performance guarantee, mutual insurance, performance insurance, etc. In respect to consumer’s right to know, the Organiser proactively discloses relevant information as follows:
    1. The event does not provide specific performance guarantee mechanism.
    2. Other payment protection measures for this event are:
      1. When an event cannot be held due to reasons not attributable to the Organiser, the Organiser reserves the right to decide whether to cancel or postpone, or use other alternatives such as choosing another venue, shortening, or lengthening the route, etc.

        a. Cancellation: If the runner has already received the race pack, 50% of the registration fee will be refunded; if the runner has not already received the race pack, 70% of the registration fee will be refunded (a TWD 30 transaction fee will be deducted)

        b. Postponement: Runners can choose to agree to postponing the event without refund or submit an application for refund within seven days after the Organiser notifies. The refund policy is the same as the refund proportions mentioned above. Late applications will not be accepted.

      2. If the Organiser announces the cancellation of the race due to force majeure, the registration fee will be refunded in full. If you are unable to participate in the event on the new selected date, please apply for a refund within 20 days after the notice. The registration fee will be refunded in full by the Organiser, and 90% of the registration fee will be refunded to late applicants.
  • Please read all rules, regulations, and agreements carefully. Successful registrants must have had agreed to abide by the rules and regulations.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to amend any rules and regulations without prior notice.
  • Runners who are successfully registered means they have agreed to all terms stated.

Public Liability Insurance

Please assess your health condition to ensure that you are fit to join the race. Get enough sleep the night before and breakfast at least 2 hours before the race; avoid exercising on an empty stomach. The Organiser has purchased public liability insurance for this event (all details shall be subject to the insurance contract signed between the Organiser and the insurance company, and judgement of the accident shall be determined by the insurance company); insured items and amounts are as follows:

  • Personal injury liability per person is NT$3 million
  • Liability for bodily injury per accident is NT$15 million
  • Liability for property damage per accident is NT$2 million
  • The maximum compensation amount of this insurance contract is NT$34 million

Coverage

  • The policy is extended to cover the Insured’s legal liability for death and bodily injury to third party persons and damage to third party property arising out of the following conditions:
    1. Accidents occurred to the Insured or an employee of the Insured along the race course.
    2. Accidents occurred to the Insured inside the building, on the pathways, or from machineries or equipment nearby the race course.
  • Insurance Exclusions:
    1. Injuries due to personal illness.
    2. Symptoms caused by personal illness or cardiovascular diseases such as shock, heart disease, heat exhaustion, diabetes, heatstroke, altitude illness, epilepsy, dehydration…etc.
    3. If the participant encounters the medical history of the disease mentioned in clause (2), it is recommended to carefully consider one’s own safety and purchase additional personal accident insurance.
    4. If the participant has or has had symptoms associated with high risk of sudden death, please consult a doctor for professional judgment before registering.
  • If the participant is showing any sign of illness or having the following symptoms, it is strongly encouraged to consult a medical practitioner prior to registration and before the actual race day.

  • If the participant suffers from property damage or physical injury during the event, the Organizer will assist in handling public liability insurance claims. However, participants who have already been compensated, or due to special exclusions, or are not within the scope of the claim, are not allowed to file any further claims against the Advisor, Organizer, Co-organizer, and sponsors.
  • Public Liability Insurance does not cover injuries resulting from falls or contact with road markers (including cat's eyes), or similar incidents. Participants are advised to consider purchasing personal accident or travel insurance for additional protection.
